Hi everyone!
I am a college student, studying voice and general music.
For a critical thinking class, I've decided to research and write a paper about the relation between drugs and music festivals. Drugs have and still play a huge role at music festival events (i.e. EDC, Ultra Music Festival, & etc.) To complete my research paper, I need to interview someone in the field.
*This request is for anyone from any part of the world. I just require that you have or had a formal role in these kinds of events. (No attendees, please.) I just ask that you provide the source of your information. (Which event, date, your position and such.) You may choose to stay anonymous as well.
Below, are the questions that need to be answered.
- What measures are taken to prevent drugs from entering the event venue?
- What is the difference in encountering a guest that is under the influence of drugs and a guest with drugs in their possession and how is it handled?
- In your opinion, what is your take on the use of drugs at a music event? Do you agree or disagree with such use?
- What can be done to promote safer drug use (if any) during the course of event?
- How are security and safety measures improving if the illicit use of drugs will still be frowned upon in the foreseeable future, despite the incline of use of drugs to enhance personal experiences during these events?
To whomever replies, I greatly thank you in advance! I will promptly let everyone know if I will or will not use their information. I appreciate everyone's response equally. Thank you!
