I’m a 29 year old male who has been homeless in the UK for just over a year. I lost my last house due to rent arrears that built up because I couldn’t find work because I have a long term leg/ankle injury. If you have any questions about my experience please ask and I’ll be happy to answer.
Is there any way that you can lie about your situation that would put you higher on the priority list for housing or any assistance? Sorry if that's a clueless question.
It's just... So unfair that you're denied something just because you're a single male.
I know a single male in Scotland who was not even homeless yet but was able to get a cheap and quite fancy council flat without any waiting at all. Good health, no issues that would make him high priority.
Is it at all possible that you would get more support if you asked in a different area?
are you care experienced?
