Since I was a teenager, every girl I have ever asked out on a date throughout the years rejected me. Had to wade through seriously depressing thoughts and self-doubt many times, but I'm 27 now and had a successful first date tonight. We'll go on a second date again next week.
Just some perspective from a woman.
When someone approaches me irl, the answer is always no. No matter how attractive you are, no matter how nicely you ask. The reason for this is anxiety, I don't like men starting conversations with me - my guard is immediately up. I couldn't say yes even if I wanted to.
When I'm ready to meet someone, I look for men online.
If this next date doesn't work out, perhaps do consider online dating. Because the app girls have put themselves out there as available, they're ready to approach or be approached.

Irl connections can feel more natural and genuine. And it's healthier - you are really putting yourself out there in a courageous way, it shows your values.
You do you! Good luck with your second date! ❤️🍀
