About two months ago i noticed genital warts and then i got to visit my doctor and got tested right away, ten days after that it was positive, 31 is a high risk type which worries me sometimes.
How are you feeling about this?
On scale from 1-10, how much embarrasment do you feel?
Have you made sure to educate yourself about HPV to understand the following things?
- there is no reason to be ashamed, HPV is very common
- even condoms won't fully protect you, you may have gotten it if you did everything right
- your body can clear the viruses, there are things that you can do to strengthen your immunity.
I've been through this, you're not alone. It starts with a lot of shame which goes away when you talk about it and educate yourself. My high risk strain fucked off after about 3 years, I'm HPV free now. Don't lose hope.
Apologies friends, I should have added that I never had genital warts on the outside.
My high risk HPV strain was affecting my cervix and the cells had already started changing in the direction of cancer.
My immunity must have cleared it on its own. The only change that happened within those years is that I dropped 20 kgs from calorie restriction and I increased my zinc intake to at least 1mg per kg of my weight because I read some studies this can help clear stubborn plantar warts (another strain of HPV)

The virus can stay dormant for years. It could have been your first partner.
