I worked alongside with, for, in service of, and on the rare unfortunate occasion, against Various ISPs for 5 Years across 6 states as a contractor and have loved it. I found my passion career and industry.
Every single project, experience, interaction and install gave me the knowledge I needed to now get a Field Engineering position elsewhere without any college or additional schooling that I couldnāt afford.
No more Aerial pulls by myself in the dark or Repairing Damages done by the, less skilled, techs Iāve been behind. No more āSorry I broke the fiber, can you bring me another 1000ā rollā. And never again the classic, āI know itās Thanksgiving but all the techs called out so you have to cover the routes and get installs scheduled today doneā
Anyways, AMA about telecommunications you wonder about or donāt understand. Iād prefer if this didnāt devolve to āMy internet sucks how fixā but if you narrow it down enough I can offer some insight.
Every ISP Iāve worked with is different in process, exact same in goals and expectations for their Installs and Infrastructure.
