What was the most surprising encounter you had?
The 5 person gang bang sounded like an experience that has the possibility of sneaking up on you as PTSD. That experience sounded very scary to me. Our brains have a way of protecting us but trauma has a way of getting out and you never know what will trigger it.
As a therapist there’s absolutely no way it didn’t have some effect and it sounds like some trauma. My suggestion is do therapy BEFORE you need it. Before PTSD sets in. May I ask were you s3x ually abused growing up?
She doesn’t… yet. It’s not something you can just forget. It will manifest in illness and has potential for more risky behavior. It’s just something that a bright young woman who went through A LOT should get ahead of. That’s my Profession advice. I worked with adolescents 14-21 and I have seen a lot of abused children and it breaks my heart. I had to exit the work. But healing is very possible. Mental health should always be a priority.
- I didn’t realize. Woah.
It’s processing the things that happened.
I am so glad you are safe and clean. Do you think you will do it again?
I am explaining what possible trauma can do to your body. I have my Masters degree in psychology and I understand this subject all too well. I don’t call people names on the internet nor do I assume they are ignorant so this conversation will end here. What you don’t know you should research before you comment. I actually know what I am talking about. What you suggest is that being proactive in mental health is irrelevant post such an experience and you are wrong. People process things in different ways. Sometimes talking through trauma actually prevents PTSD. I actually think this young woman deserves love and care like anyone else and I am just giving suggestions bc I may be a therapist but I am not her therapist. I am leaving suggestions to potentially help someone and I don’t see how it is an issue for you. Have a great day.
