I (24F) have several years of experience as a bodypaint model, and I just returned from Austria where I modeled for painters competing in the World Bodypainting Festival (WBF). AMA!
No finger-painting, haha. I've had artists use airbrush, paintbrushes, and sponges (for different textures), but never hands lol.
The paint does not get hot or sticky. If I'm painted somewhere like Key West and it's hot/humid outside, or I'm sweating, the artist uses a different type of paint so that I don't just sweat the paint off. It's a lot harder to take off later, but it's worth it for the paint to stay on.
I have heard of some people paying for bodypainting and then keeping it on for several days, going back several times for touch-up. For me though, I never sleep in paint. I always take it off before going to sleep.
I do. It's a fun place to share bodypaint pics as well as other things.
