AITA for ending things with my coworker because I found out she’s in a relationship?
Post Body

I’ll try keep this brief.

I (M28) recently started a new job , met a girl (F36) at work , we hit it off , I initiated flirting (nothing public because we work together) , she reciprocated the flirting (hard) for a whole week , then decided to tell me she’s “in a complicated relationship” (whatever the fuck that means).

I decided to end things before they got out of hand because she’s in a relationship and I’m not about that life, and suggested that we just be friends because I still genuinely care about her.

Now she’s pissed off at me and never wants to talk to me again, all because I don’t want to be an accomplice to cheating. We haven’t kissed or had sex or anything other than flirting hard over text. And admittedly I am guilty of continuing the flirting for a bit even after finding out about her boyfriend, but I have put an end to that now before it got out of hand.

TLDR

Am I the asshole for not wanting to be an accomplice to cheating but rather wanting to just be friends with her?
