I’m going to try and make this. Me and my girlfriend have together for nearly 4 years. Moved it together about a year ago. She has always been a messy person since before we moved in. When we would on see each other on the weekend (for two years) the first thing we would do is straighten up her room so I could atleast feel comfortable for the weekend. She blamed in on her living situation at the time which wasn’t the best. Before we moved in together she said it would never be like this in any sort of way because she would be in a better state of mind. Fast forward to now I have a very time consuming job which requires me to 10-20 days in a row. And I used to always tell her do this and that around the house while i financially take care of all her needs and wants. Yes she has a job that is no more than 40hrs a week. I’ve never needed her to be a clean freak but I got tired of constantly telling her to do stuff around the house while I’m at work and it made me realize I couldn’t make her my finance until she’s takes care of her end.
