AITAH for hitting my "friend" for setting my hair on fire?
Post Body

To cut it short and make it simple, it was my "friend's" birthday and we went out had fun blah blah blah. Came back to his place and I started getting changed into my PJs so I emptied my pockets on the bedside table. One of the things I took out off my pocket was a pack of matchsticks as we smoked a cigar in celebration of his birthday.

There was 4 of us in the room, I was in the bed all cocooned in a blanket while the other 3 were sitting on chairs. "Friend" comes up to me grabs the matchsticks, lights one and puts it in my face. I blow it out and we just laugh as he does extremely stupid things like this. next thing I know he comes back up to me while I'm still all wrapped up in a blanket, pulls out the matches, lights one and throws it in my hair. i pat my hair to stop whatever could've been lit, get up and chase him but he runs upstairs so I don't follow as his parents were sleeping up there. 30 seconds later he comes back downstairs into the room and I start going at him. i didn't hit him in the face, only in the body as I didn't want things to start getting bloody because I know that would genuinely seriously injure him. i punch all around his lower body, hard enough to make him feel it but not enough to actually injure him in any way. i let him know he's a childish idiot and he ran off upstairs to go to bed. i left a few minutes later so I didn't have to bare to see his stupid face again.

This friend is no stranger to doing stupid things that can seriously hurt us it we arent paying attention to his stupidity. Hes thrown rocks at us while we arent looking tell us to "catch", he done the same thing with his OWN laptop while standing on hardwood floors, kicked me in the arm while I'm driving while he was sitting in the backseat, doused a bonfire with lighter fluid while me and a friend were sitting right near it toasting sausages, the list goes on. Hes done all of these with no genuine consequence and when he did this with my hair, I was the final straw to me and I had to put him in his place. Keep in mind he is 20 years old.

Now he doesn't want to talk to me and my friends are on the fence on whos side to be on? AITAH for what I did, or was I right for putting him in his place?
