My best friend and I have been close for years, but lately, things have changed. She hasn’t been supportive during my wedding planning. She missed my engagement party, saying she had other plans, and didn’t show up for my bridal shower, claiming she was too tired. When I asked her to be my maid of honor, she seemed uninterested and didn’t help with any of the preparations. She didn’t even ask how things were going or offer any assistance.

Whenever I try to talk to her about the wedding, she changes the subject or seems bored. She didn’t help with choosing the dress, the venue, or anything else. I feel like I’m going through this important time in my life without her support.

Am I overreacting? I don’t want her at my wedding because it feels like she doesn’t care. I really want my sister to be my maid of honor instead. Will I be wrong for this?
