I got a temp ban from r/whatisthis for “making a joke” about a post this morning (I was asking a serious question, but the mod interpreted it as a joke). When the mod told me that my post was removed, I replied “lol”. This made the mod mad, so I got another warning. After that, I replied “lol” again, which pissed them off even more, and I was permanently banned and they said “Thanks for the feedback. Bye!”… why were they so butthurt? I couldn’t care less about being banned, Reddit isn’t that serious. I’m just wondering why they were so sensitive. It’s like they were flexing what stupid ass little power they had over something so silly. I hope that made their day to be able to have some power over someone, truly. Because I think they probably don’t have it in their real life. I wish nothing but happiness for the mods of r/whatisthis
Edit: the question I asked was how to pronounce the name of a manufacturer that was displayed in the post, then I wrote out the name of the manufacturer with a question mark. I think it was Chinese.
