So, a few years ago I worked for the US Army Special Operations Recruiting at Fort Bragg. While I was there we had to change our website that was hosted by GoDaddy to a .mil site. GoDaddy agreed to redirect the .com site to the .mil site for 2 years so we could transition. I told my boss that they needed to stop putting the .com web address on all the swag they gave out. Shortly after I left for greener pastures. Got an email two days ago saying that the goarmysof.com URL was available for purchase. So I bought it. The site no longer redirects so they are freaking out. I got hit with a cease and desist, even though thereโs nothing on the website. I am still a federal employee and now I feel like my job could be at stake. Am I the asshole for buying the domain?
