Seeing college friends for the weekend

Post Body

So I recently moved in with my gf who works every other weekend, so I typically like to stay in town and hang out with her on the weekends that she is off. Some of my college friends that I do not get to see too often anymore are meeting up during one of her off weekends though. So I am torn whether or not to spend time with some good friends from college, something that will probably become less frequent as we all get older, or stay in town and spend time with my gf. We have both been pretty busy recently so haven’t been able to spend true quality time together as much as we’d both like. She made it clear that she won’t stop me from going but that she will feel like an afterthought and lonely if I do go. Am I the ah if I go? What should I do?

Edit: just got back from the weekend away, and she feels very distant and depressed. Said that it’s because she was alone all weekend. What should I do? I feel like I don’t necessarily want someone who needs me in order to be happy. Being together should feel special and like a bonus improvement but individual happiness I feel like is also super important. Thoughts?
