Post Body

So fellas I’m currently, I live with my father in another city, but I feel like I’m the parent and he’s the teenager. I pay all the household bills and still need to use my own money to cover debts he occasionally incurs.

Additionally, I’ve taken out a loan and only avoided ruining my credit because I had savings to pay the bank. I also take care of the house: I clean, take care of the car, mop, tidy up, do the shopping, organize everything, wash the dishes (with some exceptions), and still hear complaints like “the rice is bland,” “the egg isn’t supposed to be cooked this way,” “there’s no water in the fridge!”

These situations have been disturbing my peace and making me consider living on my own. I’ve calculated the costs, and my living expenses would increase only slightly, but in return, I would have peace. Fortunately, my mother and sister have committed to helping me if I decide to move out.

The plan is to move out without cutting ties because my father is a good person, but the situation is becoming financially and emotionally exhausting. When I try to talk to him about finances and organize expenses, he responds with curse words and then gives me the silent treatment.
