Post Body

For context my sister (17f) has celiac disease (more or less a more severe gluten allergy). Tomorrow it is my birthday (M14 turning 15) and my dad said I should get a cake my sister wants so she can eat from it too. I understand why he told me too so I suggested we get 2 cakes: 1 I want and 1 for her. My dad said I can only get 1 cake even though my mom said we can get both. We could easily afford 2 cakes so I have no idea why my dad doesn't want to just get both cakes. It is MY birthday so I want to get the cake I want however my dad makes me feel like I am doing something wrong. I am lost what should I do?

Edit: Thanks to everyone that responded so far!
