AITAH for not letting my ex girlfriend take “our cat”
Post Body

Context: I 19m have been with this 18f for the past 7 months but last week she abruptly ended things with me. Her only reason was lack of attraction to me so she says. When I initially found out how she felt I genuinely told her I would do whatever we needed to do to work through it. She showed 0 interest at all she was just already mentally gone I guess. When we started dating we were long with multiple roommates then something happened and we were unfairly made to leave. I told her I would get us an apartment if she was serious about us being together. She said yes without hesitation. About 2 weeks in she asked can We get a cat. I said yes and she initially bought the litter box and litter and food. However she stays with her parents one week and her sister due to me working and her not having a car to get to work. Literally everyday I have to wake up and feed the cat. In the 2 months we lived here she fed the cat 2x per my request. Now we break up and she says she got that cat as a gift from her dad. And it’s her cat. I love the cat and regardless of how she’s treating me I care about her. But I don’t feel I’m obligated to sacrifice my happiness for hers at this point. She originally was supposed to help with rent and bills and now she leaves shows no emotion and just keeps trying to take whatever she can.
