So I (17f) love painting nails. My nails and my sisters nails and just everyone's nails. My brother even let me paint his nails. But my mom would only allow me to do a clear coat on his nails which is fine.

But today my brother (now 16m) said yes to me painting his nails. Now at first when I asked him if I could paint them I was joking. But then he actually said yes and he was all happy. So I asked him what color do you want me to paint them and he said pink. (The reason why he said pink was because his favorite character is Courage the cowardly dog) So I said as another joke if he wanted glitter and he said yes again with a even bigger smile on his face.

So that's what I did I painted his nails pink and with glitter and he loved his nails and was all happy about it. So he showed it to our mom and she said "Are you gay? Are you gonna have them like that for your party?" And my brother said that no he isn't gay and that it was because he wanted to dress like Courage for his birthday tomorrow. Which is true I helped him pick his outfit to even look like Courage.

But now I feel bad because my mom sounded upset and my brother looked sad after. So was I the AH for painting his nails?
