Buying myself an expensive item

I (a saver) recently bought myself a $900 projector and my husband (a spender) doesn’t know and I’m hiding it from him, watching alone. He bitches at me for spending money that doesn’t benefit him, but is a spendthrift himself. By the way, I just my got a job making more than I’ve ever made so wanted to reward myself. The projector is also a gaming console.
