Definitely know I’m not in this situation and would have posted in AntiWork, but I made a little home here in this group haha. Just need to see if I’m not crazy.

At my work I’m one of the few go to people. Im very knowledgeable in my field and have even trained other people. I was being compensated well for these duties. I’m not shy in saying, “Hey you want more than a,b and c done you need to pay more.” I don’t believe in promises until it’s signed on paper. My boss said that’s one of the things he respected about me and fulfilled his promises. My boss’s daughter took over the company and ever since things have been in complete disarray because of it. If you ever heard the term “shitshow” this is the channel to tune into. She screws over people, makes promises of raises she can’t keep and she has her sights set on me now to try and take advantage of. She is attempting to assign me more duties that are out of my pay grade and when I say you need to pay me more I just get the lie she tells everyone else. The money will come. I work as a bartender at my second job and what a coincidence, she walks in with her husband and orders drinks one night. “This is a pretty nice place, bet you’re making a killing here.” I can’t stand the woman but of course I kept it cordial and professional.

Fast forward 2 days my team and I finish a contract on time and I’m told,” You could have got it done faster, we are behind and I’m losing money! You must be tired from that night job of yours.” “I tell her what I do at night isn’t any of her business and by the way, if you want things done faster and we are behind how about giving people here more money then. No one is going to give extra effort when they are being lied to. I was told,” Well you probably don’t need the money anyway working at blankety blank. Seems like you are pretty well off already.” It was an exchange after that but I don’t want to inconvenience you the reader by taking up more of your time

Now time for the question of the day. AITAH for asking what I’m owed if I take on more and actually stand my ground? I was told by a coworker that I’m the guy with money that has his hand out and I’m just being greedy because she went around telling people my business. Also if the job didn’t pay so well my ass would have been gone faster than a man hearing you are the father on Maury
