Recently I have purchased the game 'a hat in time' on steam for the reduced sale price. I have always loved these kind of games and despite it looking way too kid friendly for a man in his late 20's. I was looking very much forward to playing it. However even when I put all my graphics settings on potato the game still runs laggy, at times it works decently smooth but during cutscenes or moments when a lot of stuff is in one place it lags so much that it is painful.

I have microsoft visual c all updated, same for directx, same for my graphics card.

my specs are as follows:

Amd Ryzen 5 1600 six core processor

8 GB RAM

Radeon RX 560 Series

Windows 10 64 bit 

And I generally game using an xbox 360 controller
