I know Francoise and Pierre are vampires. Are they still alive life in modern times?

In season one when Matthew and Diana go to Sept Tours, as they're driving through the town, Diana asks if the townspeople know they are vampires. Matthew says something like "vampires like witches find it safer to live in a community." Are the townspeople vampires too?

Are the people that work at Sept Tours in the 1590s vampires? If so, do they still work there in modern times? Honestly that seems like it would really suck to be a vampire and live that long and be a servant the whole time.

When did Marthe come to Sept Tours? I know Marthe is a housekeeper but that's not really a servant type role as it's more a supervisor in that context.

This is a spoiler perhaps but I'll ask it as vaguely as I can without using names. At the end of the show there's 2 new witches on the congregation. Did the books explain how they were selected?
