I have obsessively read these books in my reading cycle for years now and they’ve brought me joy! I’m realizing now that the downside of this is becoming clear … all of these questions are now popping into my head like: if the ghosts are all around why didn’t Bridget or somebody say “hey FYI I put a poppet in the wall with a little present in it” — or “ hey Dianna it’s me grandma… so here’s the skinny… Your parents spellbound you because you are a crazy ass witch and we need to pipe your power down because this old dirty ass pervert in tweed plaid wanted to kidnap you because you’re super powerful, your mom left a bunch of messages for me to give you because she knew she was going to be dead…” or “ hey Dianna I met this kid and I know this is gonna sound crazy but he says he’s your vampire son and that he was just gonna hang out and wait for you for a few more hundred years… did you get my message about me putting a poppet in the wall?“
