I recently stumbled upon the said degree program in Ateneo and it broke my 3 months-long of thinking about my pre med. I have been interested in data science since last year and I try to learn R programming and a little bit of JavaScript in my free time. I wanted to be a doctor but of course there’s this pre med thing and I want to take up something that I will really enjoy. The only problem here is that one of the requirements in BS AMDSc states that I need an above average mark in high school mathematics. As someone who peaked at 10th grade, I was able to pull my Math grades to line of 9 but way back in 9th grade, I’n pretty sure I was hanging by 87 to 89 and this 11th grade, I did pretty bad in my pre calculus classes with 87 and a clinging 85.
Although I am doing pretty well with my Basic Calculus and Statistics classes with grades both at the line of 9, I am quite unsure if I’d pass the said requirements. Should I just pursue another honors program in ADMU? P.S. I’m currently reviewing for my CETs this quarantine szn and I really have to come up with a list of degree programs I wish to take up.
