Hiya troops,
So I have difficulty keeping on top of general cleaning and tidying in my house. I live in a small flat, so the place gets untidy very quickly. Simply making dinner can turn the kitchen into a bomb site. The right thing to do for mindfulness is to obviously clean up after or when I see something's untidy. But I think the combination of my medication waring off at the end of the day, task avoidance etc. means it the mess starts to pile up across the flat quickly and then I'm in this messy place.
The environment is a big trigger to me, and if the place is messy I notice that I wake up later, I don't get as much done (WFH) and I generally spiral.
I'm really good at just dedicating the weekend to a deep clean, but even that is starting to annoy me, as a deep clean can take ages for me.
I do have processes in place. A good method for me is a 25 minute timer on my Apple Watch and a dedicated task which tricks my brain to hyperfocus on a single task, so rooms can usually be cleaned in about an hour.
But I wanted to check here if there's any other advice people found useful. Would love to hear what yous think as I think it's the starting point to a lot of issues and stresses in my life.
Cheers troops, love you all <3
