I swapped to dexamphetamine and both me and my psychiatrist have agreed we have found the sweet spot for me and the right drug, and as I'm quite cautious, want to stay on the lowest dose that works, so I keep my tolerance down, he is happy for me to use this over the pro drug. I'm getting great grades on the stage 3 of my uni course and am actually ahead of my studies. Now it seems there is a shortage of this drug, I am guessing people have been switching due to Elvanse being in low supply. I'm changing my prescription to 5mg for same amount, but not going to lie, I am worried. Just thought I would let people know if you haven't already faced this issue. I don't want to go back on Elvanse. It metabolised quickly for me, and the peaks and troughs sucked, as I split my dose because I don't like the jitters before evening back out. Dex was perfect for me, as I had a constant baseline.
as i said i switched to 5mg generics, ill never have a problem with shortages again due to 7 separate manufacturers
ive rang 10 pharmacies nothing, all local mum and dad pharmacys and chains, i've had to switch to generic 5mg tablets.
btw which pharmacy do you get ur 20mg amfexa from? im struggling to find one if any.
yes i was surprised too. i dont think doctors know this information unsurprisingly
