I’ve been working at my new retail job for a few weeks now but always come home exhausted and can’t do anything else for the rest of the day. A few hours in, after talking to so many people, my energy has almost depleted, and the whole process gets more and more overwhelming.
Are there any mind tricks people use to help the time pass quicker, or to keep burnout at bay? My manager is supportive and knows about my ADHD, so I’m allowed a drink or quick break whenever I need it, but I don’t want to overdo it. At the moment I’ve found that giving myself big tasks to do can help, as it makes me intensely focus on the work, but it’s only a temporary solution.
Thank you :)
