A few days ago I(21M) made a post asking other ADHD'ers if medicine would slow me down or what exactly would happen to me. I was concerned and afraid that it would simply not allow me to be as quick as I was withouth it! (I know, I lacked the knowledge and being already anxious didn't help)
I started it last Friday, and it's safe to say EVERYTHING changed. Could actually feel the effects on the first day, and after a thorough cleaning of my room I realized it wasn't slowing me down. Quite the opposite, really! It gave me the energy I needed to to start accomplishing the things that I had been putting off for months, and some for years. I was able to read books that I bought and wanted to read, but could never bring myself to start, I was able to study and learn all the things I wanted to. And most importantly, all wothout having to battle myself to get started. If this is how neurotypical people live, how come we don't get more accomplished? I feel like I am on top of the world compared to where I was 2 weeks ago, and I just wanted to share this with you guys so for anyone is wondering if they should start medicine, please give it a try. Just make sure you do as your doctor says!
Love y'all. Thanks for being part of this journey and helping me realize I needed this!
