As a habitual crafter, maker, and DIYer, one good thing ADHD has done for me is allow me to amass a giant library of entry level skills in short periods of time.

Post Body

In the last two weeks I learned paper conservation, archival framing technique, and furniture restoration, all for my most recent projects of the week I had taking over my apartment.

The hyperfixations have caused me to learn entry level skills in so many different fields in order to complete my obsession of the week. I have 30 hobbies, and will cycle through them over years, so I keep all the expensive stuff I bought and only used once around so that itโ€™ll be ready for when the hyperfixation comes around again.

Unfortunately Iโ€™ve never had the focus or devotion to master any one skill though, and it makes doing a job I love so difficult.
