Questions about meds and crashing

Post Body

I’m 33 and I’ve been on methylphenidate (Ritalin) for about a year now. I take two slow release capsules in the morning and afternoon.

I feel much better when I’m on the meds, except when they stop working and I crash so hard.

I get a feeling like I need to immediately pass out and fall asleep, but also I find that despite that feeling I’m usually not actually able to nap or anything when I try to.

I’m thinking of asking my doctor to try new meds. Either dexmethylphenidate (Focalin) or amphetamine (Adderall).

I was wondering if anyone who has changed meds could please share their experience?

Or otherwise, if anyone else had to deal with crashing, and did you find any solution?
