Getting back to work after a decade on disability
Post Body

I’ve been on disability for over a decade now and I have made the decision that when my wife and I move back home to Chicago that I will go back to work depending upon if my medicine is helping me and I can get vocational rehab to help me get some new training.

I’ve worked in many fields some I was good at and many I sucked at. My best areas was tech type work as I have always been great with computers. Worst was retail and warehouse or heavy physical work.

I was considering something maybe in pharmacy. My credit score isn’t good, it’s poor so anything requiring a good credit score I can’t do.

Im 43 years old and working on losing weight as I had weight loss surgery in January. I definitely need to be able to get insurance and be able to afford rent and medical expenses.

Is the pharmacy a good fit? What would you recommend? Any advice on how to explain the long time without work? Working accommodations? Any advice would be helpful.
