Have you guys experienced mishearing/misunderstanding people? Is it a common ADHD symptoms/trait?
Post Body

I have been recently diagnosed with ADHD, and the way my therapist explained it makes my whole life makes sense, and so far everything is good and ive been forgiving and giving myself a break from all the shortcomings that is rooted from my ADHD symptoms... Until now

I've been mishearing people my whole life that's why i tend to keep saying "what?" which makes my friends annoyed (cant blame them) Now the story, im a dental student and yesterday we were practicing for a root canal therapy, im hyperfocused on the procedure (thanks to the meds) and my teacher noticed that I am left handed and said something about me being left handed (what I thought I "heard" was discriminatory against left handed people). Fast forward to me and my friends going home, I shared to them (in disgust) about what my teacher said about me being left handed, It turns out I was wrong, they corrected me and told me that my teacher didnt said the thing i thought she said.

(What i heard = Dont be left handed What she actually said = There's a dental chair for left handed)

NOW ITS CRASHING DOWN, im having a mental breakdown, my thoughts are rumbling, having yet another overwhelming depressive episode.

How many times have I shared to people about the things I thought I heard but its actually not? How many of those people know that its actually not what i heard? How many of my friends started thinking that im a manipulative liar because of how many times I have shared something to them about what i heard that i thought is the truth but its actually not??

My brain has always been foggy, this breakdown just reinforces me to doubt myself and my memory.
