Iāll try my best to keep this as brief as possible:
Iāve been working in some form of customer service or sales for about five years now (Iām 22, male if that matters). I donāt hate it, but I dislike it enough to know that Iāll never be dedicated enough to move up to any form of management, even though Iām good at managing other people. Iāve dropped out of college twice, despite making passing grades, because it was just too draining. I think we probably all know that feeling of ābuild-upā that happens leads to a long crash and burn. Iāve been considering HVAC, plumbing, waste management, something in IT, etc. Basically just jobs that either from what Iāve heard donāt have a lot of customer focused aspects and just require doing things with my hands and problem solving without too much personal risk.
Despite graduating second in my class and my family telling me Iāll be rich, Iāve finally started coming to terms with the fact that Iāll probably never be, and that Iād just like a career that pays enough to put some money away for the future, pays for a few hobbies, and pays enough so that I can live independently in a place that isnāt at risk of being broken into.
Are the jobs Iāve listed good options? Or do yāall have some other suggestions for me? Iād appreciate any and all advice right now because Iām completely overwhelmed.
