How do you avoid thinking about the worst case scenario?

Whenever I'm in a slump, I always get freaked out and my thought progress just creates even more stress: "I have so much work piled up... I'm having a hard time getting started... oh God my late work is going to take a toll on my evals [my college has evaluations instead of grades]... how will that effect me if I want to go to grad school? Will I feel like this every semester? What if I can't make it through this semester? What happens if I fail/drop out of college? Will my adviser be disappointed?"
