As the title said, I am seeing a doctor about getting medicated tomorrow. I know that I do need help. Through my (almost) 16 years of existence, I've managed to screw up many things through being so detracted all the time. I have inattentive type and Asperger's, so I'm not full of the hyperactivity, but I can never focus. It takes DAYS to do homework assignments that should only take maybe 4 hours. As a result, I'm failing half of my classes when I know I'm smart enough to do well. I can't take it anymore.
I want to hear about your experiences. Good and bad. Any stories? Advice?
TL;DR: I'm a teen with inattentive type who is about to see a doctor about medication. I'd like stories and advice from the people who have been through it all.
