Post Body

I was diagnosed back in January. My mom's wondered for forever why I'm so messy and disorganized. I've been trying really hard to be better at it.

I'm home from college for the summer, and the entire time I've been home she's been unbearable. She knows about the diagnosis and it doesn't make a difference to her.

We've had this conversation a lot:

"Do [productive thing]. RIGHT NOW! NOW NOW NOW!"

"But I'm working on [other productive thing] right now."

"I don't care what you're working on, it's not what you should be working on!"

It's like she doesn't get that breaking my focus means that previous thing doesn't get finished. Even just nagging me and pulling my attention from thing 1 means that it won't get finished. I've told her this and she doesn't care. She always asks afterwards, "Why didn't you finish [first productive thing]? You never finish anything!" When I asked her to stop nagging me to do stuff, she told me, "I thought you were too old for that rebellious bullshit!"

I'm being driven up the wall. Help.

TL;DR: I'm trying to improve my productivity skills and my mom is doing nothing but getting in the way.
