Hey all, the purpose of this post is just to talk about my medication journey and something I realized recently, The levoamphetamine within Adderall could be the reason why my sleep sucked. I likely need an immediate release dexamphetamine.

I came to this conclusion after trying out 3 ADHD drugs.

Stratterra 80mg: This was interesting. We started on 40mg, then 80mg. The first day felt funny, it was like everything was 60fps. Definitely a great feeling to finally be able to shut-up I stopped being so talkative, and was able to articulate my thoughts, especially in meetings! Only problem was, every other thing about this drug sucked. Nausea, none stop, every day. Sleep was non-existent. And a bad case of depression..

Adderall 10mg: Made me sleepy and calm the first day. Loved it, was just talking to my parents in a normal conversation. I listened, didn't try to fill the space. Loved the relaxation. However, in subsequent days I couldn't feel anything different, my memory sometimes appeared worse! What's worse was that my sleep was affected 12 hours after taking the meds, long after it should have left my body.

Adderall 20mg: Best experience so far, got me straight to work, got myself out of unemployed, digitized all my records, and helped my parents organize their life. I was finally who I always wanted to be. Sleep still sucked if I took it after 12, so I basically put up with a couple hours of productivity and went mush. Wanted to switch because of that tight jaw feeling.

Vyvanse 40mg: 20mg didn't do anything, 40mg is currently only letting me sleep 2 hours later than I want. Otherwise, I get more anxiety, and can't come up with words.

I realized something. All day acting meds mess me up, especially my sleep. The only reason Adderall messed up sleep was because Levoamphetamine has almost DOUBLE the half life!

So now I'm considering Dexedrine, I need an immediate release Vyvanse, essentially. Thoughts?
