Thinking about stopping getting meds (30M)

Post Body

Hello everyone,

As the title says i’m seriously thinking about stopping taking my meds.

I’ve only been taking them for a week (Vyvanse 30g) and I know that it can be rough at the beggining and I should let my body get accustomed to it but I just can’t leave like this I just hate the side effects.

My heart rate goes up quite a lot (95 - 110 resting) and the lack of appetite is killing me. I’m losing weight because of it and I just weight 65kg and it’s happening in a time when I was starting to get into the gym very seriously to gain muscle and weight.

And talking about the gym since the first time I had a work out since starting the treatment i’ve had muscle and joint pain in both my arms (mostly the inner elbow, forearm and triceps) for the entire week that is preventing me from exercise and it looks worse than typical soreness.

I’ve decided to tell my doctor to stay out of them for a week to check the changes in my body and energy and i’ll decide to return to them, change meds or leave it after the week passes.

I too think that maybe it is not the best time for medication since I have a seasonal job so until maybe april I won’t have any important obligation that needs my attention.

Am I making the right decision?
