Overthinking medication effects.

Post Body

So I've started ADHD medication again as of the new year, and I find myself obsessing over whether or not I am on the right kind of medication. I've never been very self aware, so it's hard to compare how I feel now to how I used to feel. Since the new year my situation has also drastically changed, and my productivity has completely tanked due to being out of my environment, and it is making it difficult to tell how well the meds are working. I started with 27mg of Concerta long acting, and dosed up to 36mg after a couple weeks but wondering if this may have been a mistake. Definitely been feeling some side effects but they have decreased though I do feel my heart racing at times.

Soon I will have to go back to school in the city where I won't have access to a doctor, and I'm worried that I won't be able to find the right medication or dose before that happens. I was on Adderall XR as a child but that was so long ago I'm not sure how it even affected me. I did well in school back then though so it has me thinking I should be on a amphetamine based medication such as Vyvanse. Any advice or similar stories??
