I’ve had a couple I’ve been friends with since 2019. We were inseparable during Covid. In 2023 we kind of drifted apart. The couple and I all have adhd, although I have autism as well.
I saw them for my birthday in April and then life happened and I kind of forgot they existed.
She has an annual birthday party at her house and I was planning to go tomorrow and I looked it up on facebook to check the time. I’m never on FB bc it’s bad for my mental health (doom scrolling for 8 hours instead of sleeping)
I saw they got engaged in September… four months and I didn’t even know. I feel so bad that I didn’t say anything. I know they also could have reached out but still.
Am I hanging onto a friendship that is dead? Is there a way for me to make up for the fact that I didn’t know? Can this friendship still be salvaged?
