I'm afraid of the risk of addiction

Post Body

I've been taking Ritalin xr 20mg a day and it's had an incredible effect on me, apart from several moments of tiredness during the day. I no longer feel like a slave to existence, to put into perspective just how much better I feel.

But I know that like any medication it will have less and less effect and that my feelings and my tdah without the medication will be much harder to bear. It's totally logical, the brain always wants to achieve homeostasis, so my dopamine receptors will be down-regulated over the long term, whether a person has ADHD or not, that's how the brain works.

So I'm very afraid of becoming an addict, so I've asked myself the question of doing just one day a week where I take the medication and am therefore extremely productive and focused for 6 days where I don't have to worry about being productive.

When do you think?
