Post Body

Hi, lifelong writer and haver of The Deficit. I love to write prose (like four different novels in the works wheeeee), but I often have trouble getting started. Once I'm in the zone, I can get a decent amount done before distraction creeps in but getting started is so hard. It's the act of getting myself to sit down and write. I often feel overwhelmed at the idea of it, like I don't know where to startel even though I could just pick up one of my stories where I last left it and keep moving it forward. Does anyone else have this?

I have outlines, even very detailed ones, and that does help... but do you all have any other tips, tricks, or practices you might recommend? Thanks in advance!
