Its so hard being ethnic whilst also having ADHD/autism. Your vulnerable brain is forced to believe that you are defective and unwanted since being a toddler. A counsellor once suggested that my autistic symptoms aren't autism but very severe CPTSD and AVPD arisen from growing up ADHD and ethnic!!!

WHen other children observe someone who both fails to meet their criteria for conventional beauty whilst also failing to meet their social behaviour criteria, they tend to be extremely cruel and unforgiving to you, far worse than any normal kind of bullying. Ethnic autistic/adhd kids have it extremely difficult as a result of this hidden bias.

Once a counsellor in high school suggested that my lack of social skills and other similar autistic issues might actually just be severe CPTSD and resultant AVPD leading to underdevelopment of social skills due to failing to repeatedly enter and learn from social interactions whilst growing up. This all stems from repeatedly failing social interactions as a child, as many adhd kids experience.

Did anyone else experience this? Where people bullied you so hard that you decided to just avoid social situations entirely, leading to poorly developed social skills that might actually mimic autistic traits?
