I recently was diagnosed with ADHD and im having a hard time with it because i always thought everyone experienced life the same way I did. So Im going to be making a post about random quirks(?) i have. And yall lmk if yall experience this too as an adhd thing, or its just an everyday thing that a lot of nonadhd people experience.
Im very handsy. I wouldnt say i have sensory issues, but once i find a nice texture, i fiddle and fidget with it all day. I have locs, and im constantly pulling them apart because the hair feels satisfying. When i wear chains and necklaces, im always fiddling with them. I recently bought a nice ring that spins, so it helps. I dont like when things are superr flat like counter tops.
Im not sure if this is a separate thing but im also very conscious about other peoples hand textures. Every time I shake a hand, high five, or dap someone up, I think about their hand textures. A lot of hand textures creep me out tbh. I dont like handing my Id Card to the lunch lady for her to swipe, because sometimes our fingers touch. Even my own hands. I have genetically have very bony and rough hands. My friend has really nice hands. He lets lets me fidget with and hold his hands sometimes. I be having to resist sometimes cuz too much hand holding is GAY🤮🤢. (we close tho it dont matter fr)
Anways thanks for reading my rant. Lmk yalls thoughts
