I was just diagnosed with ADHD-C. I'm currently in a massive state of burnout (which I didn't even know, till I started this process, how to identify or what it was). I cannot seem to accomplish much of anything. Making meals, laundry, etc. I'm spent after doing a day's work and anything else I can accomplish. I'm waiting to be referred to a psychiatrist to get started on meds (if that's a long wait, I'm going to contact my PCP to see if she can prescribe something in the meantime). I'm wondering if anyone can give me some tips on how you get out of burnout yourself, how you avoid it, and how do you function in it? Does anyone have handy tips on keeping yourself fed in a healthy manner and all the exhausting parts of adulting? I'm single so I don't have anyone to help pick up the slack when I'm feeling this burnt out. Would love any and all suggestions. :)
