I am in a Male in my mid 40s. Although diagnosed with ADHD I was never had any treatment or therapy/coaching. To say I was not functional is mild. After getting sober in my 30s (from street stimulants) I started implementing routines and using tools like habit trackers. This has helped me immensely. I was able to finish college and now have a pretty descent career. I am still struggling. I recently read some research that talked about the emotional manifesting, like feeling attacked and the dysfunction of relationships. I had no idea this was part of the symptom set.
I want to look into getting treatment. Being a recovering addict I'm nervous and would prefer to stick to something mild like Vyvance. I am curious if treatment like this helps with the emotional symptoms and improves relationships also.
