I’ve been off my adhd meds for most of the year, would it be alright to ask my dr to be put back on them?

Post Body

I’ve been off adderall for most of the year because I was dealing with very bad anxiety issues and my adderall was making it worse, but my anxiety is doing a lot better which makes me wanna try adderall, or maybe vyvanse, again.

Problem is, is that I feel weird for asking to be put back on it since I’m Currently on 4 different medications, one being Xanax, and I don’t wanna seem like I’m just a hypochondriac or a druggo. I’ve also have talked to my dr about my struggle with weight gain from Prozac, I’ve gained 10 pounds on it so far and it seems like it’s just gonna continue going up, it’s at a point where I told her I’m going to wean off of it since it honestly barely helps anyway. I don’t want her to think this is why I want to get back on adhd meds.

Btw, I’ve been diagnosed since I was 6 years old, and rediagnosed multiple times since then, I’ve also been off and on adderall throughout my life, so this isn’t a new thing for me. it just feels weird for me to ask this time since I’m on so many other medications. What do you guys think? Would it be weird to ask?
