I’m currently on 30 mg of Adderall extended release and 10 mg of immediate release. However, my psychiatrist randomly lowered my dose three months ago, which was 40 mg ER and 15 mg ER (that I took twice a day. That dose worked perfectly for me. The ER tends to last six hours before I crash and IR tends to last 2/3 hours. I’m currently struggling with the current dose I’m at, which she refuses to increase with no explanation.
We did switch to Vyvanse for a month, but that only helped for a week at maximum. Then, other than an increased heart rate, I felt no difference at all. I’ve tried a lot of other stimulants, but they don’t work well.
She was supposed to send over my prescription for the current adderall dose today, and while it does not help much because my original dose was lowered, it helps me stay somewhat alert and less tired, especially when I take both ER and IR within three hours of each other. But she hasn’t sent it over, and my guess based on previous experiences, she won’t send it over until Tuesday, which I’ll then have to wait for the pharmacy to fill it.
I currently have one or two pills left, but I also have a paper to finish on Monday and a test on Tuesday. I’ve really been struggling to get anything done. I push myself to at least open my laptop, which is hard in itself, but I can’t get myself to do anything other than pick at my nails. Does anyone have any advice on how I can maximize the few pills I have left to help me?
