Does the phrase “just try not to get distracted” and others like it evoke rage in you as well?

Post Body

For 21 years people who have no idea what its like trying to pilot this sack of meat have been trying to tell me how easy it is to just “not get distracted” or “just focus”

You dont know what its like trying to do normal human tasks like cleaning my kitchen in a timely manner, getting your attention swayed by every single noise object and flickering light you have previously already been distracted by. If you do, you certainly have a better grip on it than me.

Especially when it comes from the people who have raised you your entire life. You raised me your entire life and you STILL dont know how my brain works? What the hell man. It just hurts that people dont even seem to try to understand how I might be feeling. It always just wraps around to me needing to “put in more effort” or “try harder.” Thats all im doing, and you still refuse to acknowledge even that, rather tell me the same things over and over again.
