hey, so a bit of background about me, i have a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder and recently i've had a few doctors and my psychiatrist question the possibility of adhd as well. in addition to this ive had a few friends who are diagnosed say that i could be. obviously this is a long process to get assessed under the nhs as ive learnt already with my asd assessment/diagnosis. so ive acquired a 20mg dexamfetamine pill, it has 4 clear snap lines each quarter being 5mg, i have tested and it is indeed dexamfetamine.

my goal with this was to try it and see how i respond, self medication i guess but just as a little experiment- i have never used a stimulant before, not medically or recreationally. the idea of a stimulant sounds actually fucking horrific i have enough thoughts as it is if my brain went any faster i don't think i would crash and burn lmao. from some research and what i've been told that people with adhd generally wouldn't get the usually increase of thoughts and speed and stuffs from stimulants but instead the opposite- this is intriguing to me hence my lil experiment and yk if there's no adhd then i just get 6hrs of being uncomfortably fast and know there's no point chasing the several year waiting list for an assessment

main questions:

is do i take the whole 20mg or how much do i take?

what about eating prior, i assume empty stomach / 4hrs after food?

i have lansoprazole scripted, i've heard dexamf is better in less acidic environments would it be advised to take this prior to the dex?
